Imerso Studios developed an advanced Augmented Reality (AR) training application that brings a freshwater generator to life through layered 3D interactivity. Designed for technical training, the app detects the real machine using object tracking and overlays essential components like valves, gauges, thermometers, and control panels. This immersive environment enables hands-on learning, fault detection, and procedural training—all without dismantling or running the physical machine.

Objectives

• Enable AR-based technical training without requiring active or powered machinery

What We Delivered

• Markerless AR Machine Detection
  The app recognizes the real freshwater generator in physical space and precisely overlays 3D components like valves, dials, gauges, thermometers, and control panels.
• Interactive 3D Elements
  Users can tap, rotate, and manipulate AR components to simulate actions such as opening valves, reading temperatures, and adjusting system settings.
• Fault Diagnosis Module
  Trainers can trigger predefined fault conditions (e.g., pressure anomalies, overheating, incorrect valve positions) which the user must identify and resolve—encouraging critical thinking and response skills.
• Start-up Procedure Simulation
  The app guides users through step-by-step machine startup, including all key checkpoints and correct sequencing, with real-time feedback and validation.
• Gamification Features
  Integrated performance scoring, time-based challenges, and progress tracking to boost engagement and assess learner readiness.
